Booker's Bourbon Batch 2020-02 "Boston Batch"

Type: Bourbon

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 63.25%

The nose has a rich, caramel note for me. Many people believe Jim Beam products have a distinct "nuttiness" to them. I agree that this bourbon has a nutty note but it doesn't remind me of peanuts. I pick up more of a pecan nuttiness. The nose on this bourbon reminds me of pound cake. The palate brings out flavors such as apple cinnamon and other baking spices mixed with vanilla. The bourbon has an oily texture to it and drinks a little hotter - it is 63.25% ABV, so that would make sense. The finish is long and definitely lingers with notes of apples and vanilla. This is a REALLY good batch in my opinion. There's something about it that made me want to keep going back to see what else I pick up. I would definitely suggest this bottle, especially if you enjoy higher proof bourbons. However, I know the price has been creeping up lately. Given that, there might be other options at a cheaper price, however, I still would recommend having at least one Booker's bottle in your collection. Cheers!
